Harold Roehrig started building Comatic blow molding systems in 1974 when Tekpak purchased Comatic. The company name was changed to Millcreek Manufacturing Inc. in 1980 when Harold became part owner of Millcreek. At Millcreek, Harold developed various blow molding machines, associated robotics, and deflashers to fully automate the systems. Harold also worked in conjunction with NRM Extruders to further envelop the U.S. market. Garold Automation started manufacturing in 1988 under the company name of Roehrig Manufacturing. In 1990, the company name was changed to Garold Automation Inc. Garold Automation designs and develops blow molding equipment for commercial and industrial customers producing plastic containers. In addition, the company designs and manufactures down stream equipment to complement the blow molding equipment. While standard base components are used, each system is customized to suit specific end user applications. Robotics have become an integral part of the systems to produce specific automated processes. The company constantly strives to stay abreast of technology in order to stay competitive with or ahead of its competitors and to this end Garold is constantly incorporating new design features in its systems. The strategy which the company now implements is to take a standard design and use it as a base from which to incorporate the custom features desired by each customer. In some instances the redesign is minimal and in other cases a substantial amount of design is required. Garold designs and builds new systems from 2 - 12 stations with 3 - 25 tons clamp pressure. They also rebuild used systems. |
